Biography

There is power in making the unconscious mind conscious, understanding WHY we do what we do, and finding our own inner voice. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy. In therapy we tackle faulty coping skills and manage mental health concerns, but we also learn about healthy relationship dynamics, self-determination, and how to have hope for the future. We can’t control what life will throw at us, but we can control how we respond to it.

I graduated from the University of Utah in 2017 with a Master’s of Social Work, with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling. I completed 4,000 supervised hours in the two years after graduation to earn my independent licensure as an LCSW. I have worked as a therapist in the healthcare system for the last six years, meeting with hospital patients and their loved ones during acute medical crises. I’m excited to join the clinical team at Sunrise! It is an honor to accompany my clients as they walk through the situations they face. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming clinician and ally.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with my husband, toddler, and our two cats. I love a good Netflix binge, and I am a huge foodie! I love trying new and fun restaurants, cooking, and baking cakes. I am a St. George native and was happy to land here after college to raise my own family. I look forward to meeting you!
