Susan Schaffer

I am happy to be doing billing and credentialling for Sunrise Mental Health Services.  I am excited to be a part of this team.  I have been working in the health professional field for 14 years.  I have had on the job training for all 14 years.  I have attended many webinars and training courses to help learn how to be more effective with the tools that insurance companies provide.  I find this work extremely challenging but fulfilling when a problem gets solved.

I was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho.  I went to school at Idaho State University and worked many years at Idaho State University in various departments.  When I got married, my husband’s work took us to Boise, Idaho for 8 years.  While in Boise I was still able to work for Idaho State University and that’s where I learned on the job training for medical billing.  After adopting our daughter, I went to work for a Pediatric Speech and Occupational Therapy Clinic that gave me more flexibility between work and family.  I worked for twelve years for this clinic.  I have been enjoying learning the ins and outs of mental health billing. I’m look forward to helping with billing and account struggles and providing the best services for our clients.
