Biography
One of my favorite quotes is that of Carl Jung who said, “I am not what happened to me – I am what I choose to become.” It is my sincere hope and intention to explore and empower you on your journey toward a better you – emotionally, spiritually and physically – and provide you the space together to do so.
I have always been a helper and have spent my earlier career in social services organizations, with veterans, foster children and the homeless as well as families and couples. I also have experience in the inpatient mental health hospital setting and crisis work, and most recently have worked in school social work, with adolescents and teens and the LGBTQ+ population, toward their growth and learning. I’ve been a HOPE Squad advisor and Girls on the Run Coach and believe in the power of positive messaging for teens.
I hold a BA in Psychology, an MA in Counseling Psychology, and more recently completed my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Nevada-Reno. I am a Certified Social Worker, and Nichole Rammell, LCSW, is my supervisor.
I am trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and believe in incorporating meaning making into therapeutic work together.
On a personal level, I find meaning from my roles as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and advocate. I am a lover of animals, cooking, the great outdoors, and can be found on many running trails in the St. George area in my spare time.
It is my true passion to help you focus on your individualistic and unique strengths, and help you take your life to the next level that you envision…
