Biography
My belief is that you can’t help anyone else unless you help yourself first. Unfortunately, it seems we often leave ourselves for last. I have loved seeing so many people learn and grow through therapy. I’m a firm believer that when the skills learned in the office are put into practice amazing changes can happen. It’s a partnership where working together we can achieve very real results.
I did my undergraduate work at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2002. I worked as a social worker for a few years, then decided to return for a Masters Degree. In 2010 I graduated from Boise State University with a Master of Social Work.
I have worked in several different settings both as a Social Worker and a Therapist. I have worked in Mental Health agencies, Home Health and Hospice, Hospital Administration, Outpatient Therapy Agencies, Group Home Agencies, and Private Practice with the FLDS and LGBTQ communities.
I grew up in Idaho and moved to St. George, UT in 2012. I have been married for 20 years and have three beautiful daughters. I absolutely love the outdoors and animals! We have two cats and a dog (Boston Terrier). Hummingbirds are my favorite and I consider them my pets as well! Traveling is a huge part of my life. I enjoy going places with my family as much as I can.
Helping others has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so having the opportunity to work as a therapist is a dream come true for me!
