Jenny Burgoyne
Biography
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to advocate for themselves and find the resources they need to thrive. I am committed to helping my clients discover and develop tools that will benefit them inside and outside of therapy. As a nurturing and collaborative therapist, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and experiences.
My personal journey has shaped my passion for helping others. Having overcome a challenging upbringing that lacked support, I understand the importance of building a strong support system and finding direction in life. Now, I am driven to help others do the same, guiding them toward healing and self-discovery.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Utah, dedicated to becoming a skilled and compassionate social worker. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and have a diverse background in healthcare, with experience as a medical assistant working with various populations. My work with adolescents has been particularly rewarding, and I am passionate about supporting young people as they navigate life’s challenges. While I serve all populations, I have a special focus on children, adolescents, and teens. Nichole Rammell, LCSW, is my supervisor at Sunrise Mental Health Services.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our beloved mini Australian shepherd poodle mix, Scout, and our new baby boy. I love traveling, exploring new places, and am a big fan of Disney and movie nights. I am also an avid reader, participate in a book club, and enjoy staying active and connecting with friends. I am particularly passionate about trauma treatment and aim to become certified in EMDR and parts work. While I enjoy working with clients of all ages, I have a special place in my heart for adolescents and am dedicated to helping them build a brighter future.
