Life is an amazing journey full of surprises and unexpected turns. No two journeys are the same and the experience that we gain shapes the lens from which we view the world. I think that everyone experiences times where they need a little help along life’s journey. I believe that everyone has inherent worth and what they need to get through difficult times. Sometimes it just helps to have someone empathize through the experience and build upon the strengths and skills that one has.
I received my B.S. in Psychology from Southern Utah University in 2019. I then received an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University in 2021. I have worked as a crisis case manager and with individuals with disabilities in group home settings. In my training, I gained experience doing counseling with individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
I work from a humanistic and systemic approach when working with clients. I help clients discover their strengths and help them to build upon them. I believe that every client has a unique life experience and it is important to understand how that has shaped the concerns that they bring into the therapy setting. I enjoy working with individuals with concerns about faith issues, LGBTQ issues, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
I grew up in Southern Utah and love the natural beauty of the area. I’ve also lived in Washington and Texas and think those are amazing places too. In my free time, I love to travel, experience new food, and do artwork. Pets are the greatest!
